Love the watch!
I run 4-5 times per week for 90 minutes. The battery life is wonderful and the user interface is intuitive. I look forward to using this for a long time!

It’s smart, but not that smart
I bought this because I’m taking up running again after a hiatus of 7 years or so. I like the high resolution screen. I like the run tracking. I like the reminders to get up and move throughout the day. I like customizing the screen. I like removing screens I don’t use. I like the tests. I like the suggestions. I like the buttons. The sensors seem to work well, although for runs I bought the chest-worn monitor, which is more accurate. I do see messages from my iPhone on it, but can’t interact with any apps on my phone, of course. I suppose Apple’s ecosystem is closed, so that it currently impossible. It would be interesting if Polar made it possible to install apps. That would depend on what OS they are using, or if it is one they made themselves.
One odd thing is battery recharge rate. Half the time it takes waaaaay longer than I would expect, more than 10 hours. Other times, it is fairly quick, like 5 hours. So far, I recharge when it gets between 15-20%, so the amount needed to recharge has been fairly consistent. I see online others complaining about slow recharge times, but like I said, mine is up and down. But the slow days means I’m not tracking my activity during that time, and charging at night would mean not tracking sleep. Have to lose one or the other. There must be a better solution.
The mobile app and web app are both good, at least for what I need. Having not used others, I don’t know how they compare, but I find the data, charts, etc. quite useful.
Overall, I really like it and look forward to many years of use.

Amazing Watch…Bad Charging Cord
Excellent watch and has served me well. The charging cord that came with it (original Polar cord) barely charged the watch…like 10% overnight. So I bought a replacement cord that works much better. But the watch is amazing!

Serious issues with the wrist heart rate measurements and running cadence
I have use the watch for 17 months now. The watch has many features, but to be honest it lacks the quality of the older models from Polar. Specifically, the wrist based heart rate is often showing about 2 times my actual rate. I have tried to wear the watch more snugly and as instructed, but it does not seem to help. The other issue is that the cadence is sometimes showing zero while I am running. My previous model M430 was much more robust and did not have any issues. On the positive side is the Polar Flow Web page. I don’t like the phone app at all, so i am reviewing my data on the web page.

Sleep trucking is awful
I upgraded from my still-working M400, hoping to track my sleep more accurately. After about three months of wearing it every night, I can’t tell if it’s more accurate. At least one day a week, it shows “No data from last night,” and last week, only three days had records. The “Training suggestions” and training guide are also useless. A few words about Polar Flow: there is no option to edit the map, like in RunKeeper. When creating an interval training running session, there is no option to set a goal pace. I’d probably give it 3 stars, but they are too expensive to be so bad.

Great investment
The watch performance is amazing. Battery lasts longer than a week. The polar app and watch work seamlessly together. Most accurate gps and vital stats out there.

Love it!
It is comfortable, it has a replace band that is smaller for people with small wrists. The metrics are fantastic and the battery lasts longer than other smartwatches
