Best Value for a Gaming Keyboard
I’ve had this keyboard for more than a year now. I wanted to get some sort of keyboard both to keep my laptop docked while at home and for gaming, so I wanted something that felt good for typing and gaming. This keyboard does both quite well.
I really enjoy typing on this keyboard, and it alone has changed my preference from low profile keys, such as those found on my laptop, to a more standard raised design. I’ve never had any issues typing on the keyboard for writing papers or programming. Though the WASD keys are a different color than the rest of the keys, I don’t notice the difference. The backlighting is a delight to have, because the lower brightness setting is plenty for my apartment when it’s not day time or I have the lights on. The MW3 logo is not distracting at all to me.
The keyboard also does well with gaming. I play mostly RTS games, with some MOBAs and Action types of games thrown in, and I’ve never had any problems with input no matter how quickly or frequently I use hotkeys or other commands. I’ve not used the programmable function/G keys as much as I thought I would, but I don’t feel like that’s been a loss. Some of the command programming took me a little tweaking to get right, this being my first programmable keyboard, and for some games I was not able to get things working quite how I envisioned. I’m not sure if this is a fault of ignorance on my part or if the software doesn’t work as well with certain games, but I’ve never encountered any kind of game breaking error. I’ve not experimented with the Windows Key lock either, as I’ve never had an issue with clicking it in game in the first place.
In terms of reliability, I’ve been using this almost daily for close to 18 months now, and I have had no issues with performance or durability. If anything, the distinction between brightness levels has actually improved. It was difficult to distinguish the low and high lighting when I started using the board, but the difference is clear now.
I think that about covers all I have to say about the keyboard. Overall, I think this keyboard is an absolute steal. I got this while it was still at the $35-40 price, and it looks like a new model is out without the MW3 logo for that same price. I know that there are higher end boards available that would certainly pass this in terms of raw performance, especially with programmable keys, but if you want something that will give you a gaming boost for under $80, I can’t imagine any other option as good as this one. This is most definitely the greatest technology purchase I’ve ever made in terms of performance and durability for price.
*** Do note, of course, that this MW3 version appears to be back at its original price, so the newer version listed by Amazon would be a better value. ***

Best keyboard I’ve had in a couple of decades.
I love keyboards, I have many. At $28 this keyboard is an insane deal. The back lit keys are great for gaming, what really gets me to rate it at a 5-star though, is what happens when I start writing an email on this thing. The click of the keys is just great. I am sure there are better keyboards on planet earth, I have to believe that (keep the hope alive).
Now, for the thirty dollar range though. Wow to the wow. I’ve been slumming for no reason. MW3 edition wise, I can say that I believe this is well worth the juvenile logos on your keyboard. I was a little offended by the look of it from the pictures but actually looks just fine and just fun. I got the the COD MW3 logitech mouse and that is just as great and again a great way of getting a great deal on better hardware than their prices would suggest. Also, the fact that they match… it helps cosmetically. Like, they look like a set and it really helps the look quite a bit. The green lights from the mouse match the green of the keys. I wasn’t too excited about getting green back lighting but now that I have it, I wouldn’t change it. Goes great with games, doesn’t look hostile like red does. So I’m pretty much a big fan.
My only hesitation is that in writing this positive review for this product I’m sure is unfairly priced low due to clearance, I’m going to help it sell out and then I won’t be able to buy more of them. I’m tempted to buy spares, of both the keyboard and the mouse. If the price were any lower it would actually cost me a whole lot because I’d buy so many of them. The reflection from the monitor reflects on the keys enough that the gray WASD keys actually stand out just great.
Overall, just great. Has obvious shortcomings, like a detachable palm rest would be sweet possibly (although I love the small footprint). USB hub functionality would be nice. And last but not least: there should absolutely be dedicated (small) media keys. There’s just no doubt in my mind that there’s plenty of real estate above the F-keys to where a few general use keys would have been sweet (volume up, volume down, mute).
There’s a soft-touch feel to the keys, feels just great. Hope it lasts. Also the mouse, get the mouse. Whole computer just feels fancier. Good luck.

good keyboard.
i like the fell of the key they fell sturdy and yet are easy to press. the keys are big enough yet are close enough to roam free on the keyboard for writing or gaming.
for those who prefer a sensitive keyboard, light press, keep away, as each key need a good press without having to hammer it.
let just say that you wont press, by accident, a button by resting your hand on the keyboard

Love the light up keys and overall feel of the keyboard itself.
The G Keys go great with my Logitech G600 MMO Mouse(which I also highly recommend)
To say that I recommend this mouse is an understatement, if you’re into gaming this is a pretty cost effective quality keyboard, you don’t need to spend upwards of 100 bucks for a mechanical.

I was looking for a solid quality keyboard with programmable keys and back lighting capability for general purpose typing. I am not a gamer and so I can’t really comment on how well it is suited for gaming. There may be better gaming keyboards available but it is perfect for my needs.
